Types of socks
Socks differ in design:

- No-show socks are designed for shoes, ballet flats, slip-ons and other open-toe shoes. They have no shank, so they are not visible from underneath the shoe.
- Thin lace socks made of kapron or mesh are worn with open shoes, ballet flats. They additionally decorate the image.
Socks differ in color. They can be monochrome or multicolored, with prints, patterns. Classic monochrome socks are suitable for office or weekend wear. Decorated socks are appropriate in a more informal environment: at home, on vacation, walking. If the office does not have a strict dress code and adopted a free style, socks with a print or colored bright models will be suitable.
Socks are made of different materials:
- Models made of natural fabric - cotton, bamboo or wool are the most comfortable.
- Synthetic socks made of nylon, lycra, elastane and other materials are wear-resistant. However, it is not recommended to walk in them for more than a few hours.
- Socks made of combined fabrics consist of up to 90-95% of natural fibers and 5-10% of synthetic threads. This addition is necessary for the elasticity and durability of socks. Also products with synthetic threads better hold their shape, easily stretch on the leg.
How to choose socks
First determine with what clothes and where socks are to be worn. Here are a few recommendations:
- If the socks will be visible, monochrome models that match in color, fabric and design to other clothes will be suitable.
- Sport socks are chosen so that they are clearly on the leg, made of elastic fabric. It is also important that they harmonize in color with the tracksuit.
- Under open shoes choose no-show socks or transparent kapron socks.
- It is desirable to buy socks with a high content of natural materials. They absorb moisture, dry quickly and they have good ventilation.
- Socks are chosen by size. If they are too big, they will slip down and create excessive volume in the shoe. The foot will be cramped. Socks that are too small in size will quickly wear out in the toe area and squeeze the foot.
- To ensure that the elastic band of the socks does not squeeze the foot, it should not be too small in volume.
Choosing socks, assess their quality. There should not be protruding threads, protruding loops, defects in patterns and prints. Heel and toe are made of reinforced fabric, so that these vulnerable places do not quickly wear out. Seams in the area of the elastic band are made neatly. Their material should be pleasant to the touch. Such socks will be pleasant to wear, and they will last longer.
